HELLO!
I'm Anshuman Acharya, a Postdoctoral Fellow at BCCP (Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics), UC Berkeley. Here I am working with Dr. Simone Ferraro as a part of the "Learning the Universe" collaboration, for inferring properties of physical models of our Universe from observational surveys.
I'm also a part of the LOFAR Epoch of Reionization (EoR) team where I model this period of the Universe when the first stars and galaxies formed, focussing on jointly modelling galaxy-scale physics in large, Intergalactic Medium (IGM) scale simulations. These models are crucial for data interpretation from the upcoming SKA-Low telescope.
Prior to this, I completed my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics, Germany with Dr. Benedetta Ciardi and Prof. Volker Springel, and my integrated BS-MS in physics at IISER Mohali, India.
